I am a lover of the DVR; it’s the greatest invention since the B.O.B… (oops, TMI), anyway, I was indulging myself, catching up on a few recorded episodes of some of my fav TV shows. Remote in hand, finger on the FF button, I was good to go. The latest installment of shiggidy included the reunion special of Basketball Wives… you don’t have to say it… I love that show too gurl! Speeding through the commercials is AWESOME! Remember 8-track tapes…?? Need I say more…? Ok, I won’t. Anyway, out of the corner of my eye, I see summin outta place…. I sit up straight, lean forward, say to myself, oh hell nah, and press Reverse… Press Play, left eye arched and go… All together now… Oh… My… Gawd…
For years, our culture has focused on this area of the male and female anatomy. My discussion today will center on the female anatomy – it’s distained by few (coughs, haters), praised by admirers and held in high regard by many. Goes by various pet names… gluteus maximus, backside, badonkadonk (if ya Kuntry), booty, a$$, backside, heinie, rump, caboose, bottom, bum (if you’re from the UK), butt, can, fanny, culo (represent my Latinas!)… the list is endless…
Paintings portray it, sculptures idolize it, music describes it… In fact, I’ve been able to find a ready-made LIST (don’t you just love the internet? See I’m not the only one thinking about such things) of the top ten songs that pay homage to the booty…. WOOT WOOT!
